Affton Americans Development Model (ADM)
6U ADM Program
Affton’s 6U Mite ADM program closely follows the guidelines set forth by the American Development Model (ADM) provided by USA Hockey. Our objectives include nurturing a love of the game at an early age and emphasizing fundamentals including skating, stick handling, passing and shooting. Station-based practices are utilized to maximize learning and to capture the attention of our young boys and girls. Games are a mixture of cross-ice and half-ice against other local organizations.
8U ADM Program
Affton’s 8U Mite ADM program closely follows the guidelines set forth by the American Development Model (ADM) provided by USA Hockey. Our objectives include nurturing a love of the game at an early age and emphasizing fundamentals including skating, stick handling, passing and shooting. Station-based practices are utilized to maximize learning and to capture the attention of our young boys and girls. Games are played either half-ice or full-ice against other local organizations.
6U Season Consists Of:
- 24 Practice ice touches
- 12 Cross-ice game touches
- 6 Half-ice game touches
- 5 Tournaments (Labor Day, Thanksgiving, New Year, St. Pat’s and Affton All-World Championship)
- 1 Cross-ice jamboree (Blue Note Cup)
- 1 reversible jersey & one pair of socks
8U Season Consists Of:
- 36 Practice ice touches (weekday & weekend ice)
- 6 Half-ice game touches
- 3 Full-ice game touches
- 5 Tournaments (Half Ice: Labor Day, Thanksgiving Full Ice: New Year, St. Pat’s and Affton All-World Championship)

ADM Reversible Hockey Jersey & Socks
Registration fees include a reversible hockey jersey and a pair of hockey socks for each player. While registering, you will select your player's jersey and sock sizes. Please use this guide to help you choose your player's sizes.
Affton Hockey Raffle Tickets
Each Affton Hockey player at the ADM level and above (excluding Eagles CSDHL and Affton Americans Midget CSDHL) receives 10 raffle tickets worth $10 each. Families may sell these tickets to recoup part of their registration fee or enter their own name in the raffle. Players receive the tickets from their team manager after team rosters are finalized.
Tickets must be filled out and placed in the bin at the Affton Ice Rink by the return date printed on the tickets to be entered in the raffle. Drawings are held weekly for 20 weeks for prizes of $100 (13 winners), $500 (six winners) and $1,000 (one winner).
