Cardiac Screening at Affton Ice Rink

The nonprofits Greg Holthaus Memorial Fund and 72 Acts of Kindness are offering youth cardiac screenings for individuals ages 12-22 on Friday, July 17 from 9am to 5pm at Affton Ice Rink. For $34 your loved one will have their heart checked for abnormalities by an ECG and a 2D Echo. It is recommended to have the heart screened every two years as the heart continues to grow up to age 22.

Greg Holthaus passed away at the age of 18 from sudden cardiac arrest due to an undetected heart abnormality which would have been discovered had his heart been screened. In addition to offering the screenings, the nonprofits will donate an AED Machine to the Affton Ice Rink.
